Child Day - March 31, 2007

My grand daughter with my son arrived last evening.  Wow - what a day we had today.  We were invited to friends home.  What a delightful surprise.  My son went with us, stayed for a while and then traveled back to Western Washington.  Grand daughter staying for spring break.

Friends are only about ten minutes from me.  They kept saying through the past year I would have to come to see their home in the spring.  We arrived to find gardens around their home with over 10,000 daffodil bulbs all in bloom.  Awesome site.  Every place I looked there were more flowers.  Forsythia, roses, tulips just peeking out.  Yard art every where.  Bird feeders swarming with sparrows, gold finches and quail running through the yard with their babies.  What a show.  The weather was great and about the time we left it started clouding up and soon it poured rain.

Friends even treated us to his home made soup while we were there.

Friends we’re in yesterday’s newspaper.  People kept coming all day to see their beautiful gardens.  All the meeting of people, some I already knew, and the new ones kept the day also cheery.

When I arrived my little grand daughter was worn out.  Found her another set of grandparents.  They were delighted with her.  Kept her busy finding different things to do to follow them around.  He took her off to see the little owl peeking out of it’s nest.  As we were leaving a hawk was flying in all it’s grace.

The beauty of self shines when in the wonderful gardens people grow with all God’s touches to go with it.

I am so thankful for such a wonderful day.  The food I ate.  The friendliness of everyone.  I am thankful for my grand daughter being with me.  Thankful for all the wonderful sharing.  Thankful for the truck I own which gets me to where I want to go.  Thankful for loving people.  Thankful for my home after a delightful day to escape into my world of thought about the whole day.

Hugs to everyone.  It was such a nice huggy day.
