Home as a true Haven

When my mom and I first started looking for a house in 2000, we saw quite a few that were just not right. When we first looked at the one we purchased (only months before real estate started going sky high here), I could feel it had once been truly loved. It is a two unit house that was then occupied upstairs by a woman who thought garbage was disposed of by throwing it off the back deck and empty bottles got stored on that deck. The downstairs was apparently occupied by two men who did some drug dealing. It was however, a great house. Three bedrooms and two baths upstairs, two bedrooms and one bath downstairs. Under the condition that all tenants were to be moved out and all the junk in the store-rooms, decks and yard was to be removed by closing, we bought it. When we moved in, it not only needed cleaning on the physical level, but on the spiritual as well. It was bought “as is”, we could not have afforded it otherwise. The “spiritual” cleansing worked incredibly well. The vibrations and energy of the house have been completely shifted and it is back to being the well loved house it started out as. It’s been amazing how many people have stopped while passing by just to tell me how different it looked and felt. People who know the house have come in and actually asked what I did that it felt so different. All the local cats come and hang out on the property, a family of racoons hangs out at night and coexist with our two outdoor cats with no fighting or confrontations. We also have a family of wood peckers that are incredibly fun to watch and lots of noisy and pesky mountain jays. We have humming bird feeders and get lots of the little guys using them. We used to have lots of squirrels, but the arrival of a bob cat in the immediate area seems to have to chased them off. Bob cats don’t go near people, but they do seem to consider very small dogs to be a delicacy. I don’t think little dogs should be out at night by themselves anyway. It seems lots of animals feel safe around our house. We do discourage the deer with a harmless stinky spray………if we didn’t, we’d never have flowers for more than day. What’s really nice is that I feel happy, peaceful and protected here. It’s even nicer that any guests I have feel the same way. I enforce the spiritual protection around the house regularly and use it, as well as the redwoods around it, as a place to pray. Bless your home, create a light of protection around it, it works.
